Leggo's sauce recalled over fears of metal and plastic inside

Containers of a popular Leggo's pasta sauce are being recalled nationwide over fears of the potential presence of metal and plastic fragments inside.

The recall specifically concerns 250-gram containers of Leggo's Fresh Napoli Sauce with Tomato, Garlic, Basil & Oregano, sold at Woolworths around Australia.

Affected products carry the use-by date of 02/10/2021.

Patties Foods Pty Ltd today issued the recall for the sauce, alerting consumers that there is "potential presence of foreign matter (metal and plastic)".

If consumed, food products containing metal or plastic may cause illness and injury.

Customers who have purchased the affected containers are eligible for a full refund and are being advised to return it to the place of purchase.

Concerned consumers can contact Patties Foods Pty Ltd on 1800 650 069 or email them at info@patties.com.au.
